Manul cat also known as Pallas’s cat is a wild cat. Their name Pallas’s cat comes from Prussian zoologist Peter Simon Pallas who first observed and described them in Russia. They are listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List which is a list for threatened species. Some of their population units are threatened by poaching and habitat fragmentation.
Rosa wanted to not only release a character series that is adorable but also create awareness. He has chosen this wild chat as his character series to support wild animals that are under watch as endangered animals.
Manul cat has light grey with pale yellowish-ochre or pale yellowish reddish hues. Their fur is greyer and denser with fewer markings in winter than in the summer. They are camouflaged and adapted to the cold continental climate due to their native range, rocky montane grassland and scrublands where snow cover is below 15–20 cm which receives little rainfall and experiences wide range of temperatures.
Manul cats are found in East Asia to Central Asia, Mongolia and adjacent parts of Dzungaria and the Tibetan Plateau. The Greater Caucasus region which is near Russia is considered climatically suitable for Manul cat. Their fur is very soft, fluffy and dense due to their adaptation to the cold and dry winters and moderate to low rainfall in the summer.
They are known for their round pupil making their facial expressions more humorous and their fluffiness that we cannot endure. Also for their adorable feet which seems to be larger and thicker than usual cats.

Among our ongoing obsessions of everyday life we are least concern about the future of earth and the species that we are putting to extinct, and Rosa Fantasy wanted to bring our attention to these species before it is too late. The NFTs that we consume or own might represent our style, our art taste but it could mean more than that.
