Sculptor Gravity (JEON Kang-Ok), an artist who has been working in Paris for over 15 years, tells stories about sculptural elements such as gravity, form, weight, balance, and symmetry through his works.

He is a veteran artist with outstanding skills and experience enough to participate in more than 18 solo exhibitions and more than 200 group exhibitions. He was selected as Salon Jeune Création in Paris in 2001, won Espas au Tulle in 2002, and was selected for the Arirang Awards at the Sculpture Festa in Korea in 2017.

Balloon Series by Gravity

The artist has focused on the subject of ‘gravity’. Gravity is the force that the earth pulls objects with a certain weight, which is a law of nature that people usually do not recognize. Balloons and objects hanging in his works face towards the sky, and this is people’s desire to be free against gravity.

The first series “Balloon” cotntains 6 artworks. It shows people’s wish to throw off the weight of daily lives and fly freely toward the sky. With the artist’s consideration of the relationship between gravity and form, it visualizes the most spectacular effects of gravity, such as unstable balance, imbalance, flight, and fall.

This series is limited to a total of 30 editions for each work. Each of the series will be released through ENFTEE.
